The conference will take place in Bucharest, which is the capital and the largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial center.
The city is located in the southeast of the country on the banks of the Dambovita River, less than 60 km (37.3 mi) north of the Danube and the Bulgarian border. Economically and culturally, Bucharest is the most prosperous city in Romania, with numerous universities, educational institutes, convention facilities, and cultural venues, traditional “shopping arcades” and recreational areas. Henri Coanda International Airport is located 16.5 km (10.3 mi) north of the Bucharest city centre, in the town of Otopeni, Ilfov. It is the busiest airport in Romania. The airport is connected to the center of Bucharest by train, bus or taxi, in about 30 minutes.
